Terms of Service

Effective date: April 23, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MCP Stone ("Service"), operated by MCP Stone ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MCP Stone is a zero-trust gateway for AI agents using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The Service lets you register upstream MCP servers, issue scoped agent tokens, apply access policies, and observe agent activity through audit logs.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, API keys, and agent tokens. Treat agent tokens like passwords; we only store their SHA-256 hashes and cannot recover lost tokens.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of legal capacity in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
• One person or legal entity may maintain multiple accounts only for separate workloads. Creating accounts to circumvent quotas or bans is prohibited.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Proxy requests to upstream services in a manner that violates those services' terms.
• Transmit malware, phishing content, or traffic designed to disrupt the Service or third parties.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other customers' data, or our infrastructure.
• Use the Service to generate, distribute, or facilitate CSAM, content promoting violence or hatred, or content that infringes intellectual property.
• Reverse-engineer or circumvent security controls, rate limits, or quotas.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• Plans. Paid plans (currently Starter) grant higher quotas and features. Plan limits and prices are listed in the billing settings page and may change; existing subscriptions are honored until the end of the current billing period at the purchased price.
• Billing cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annual) until cancelled. You authorize recurring charges via Stripe, our payment processor.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal in the billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds for the unused portion unless required by law.
• Refunds. We may issue refunds at our discretion for service outages or billing errors. Contact us at billing@mcpstone.com within 30 days of the charge.
• Taxes. Prices may not include taxes. Where required, taxes are calculated and collected by Stripe Tax.
• Quota enforcement. Exceeding your plan's limits may result in requests being denied until the next billing period or until you upgrade.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by MCP Stone and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the data you submit to the Service (server configurations, policies, agent definitions). You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to operate the Service for you.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or modify features at any time. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced in advance where practical.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MCP STONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCP Stone from any claim, demand, or damages, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or your misuse of the Service, including any content or traffic you route through the Service.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via the "Delete Account" option in profile settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or where continued provision of the Service is unlawful. On termination we delete your data in accordance with the retention policy described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in the Service at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MCP Stone is established, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer-protection regulation grants you a choice of forum.
